Hello fellow educators! This presentation is for those World History teachers who need content and investigative lessons on how the Industrial Revolution transformed towns into major urban centers. It conforms to new state standards across the country and the new AP Modern World History curriculum (1200 CE - Present), which stresses teaching this particular topic for the AP Exam. It contains several slides featuring recommended essential questions, warm ups, brief lecture notes, and the famous Urban Game in which students design the layout in stages of a town transforming into an urban center! Please modify the lesson as needed for your needs and contact me with any questions. This lesson has been class tested and approved by students. Thank you! Owen Cegielski, M.A. History and 20-Year Veteran Teacher, currently pursuing Doctorate in Education at CU Denver.
