Inspired by Eric Carle’s The Very Busy Spider, this engaging Common Core aligned activity provides extensive practice with CVC words. This experience directly correlates with the Wilson Fundations Program's focus on "tapping" or any phonics program that teaches blending with CVC words. Students will move spiders across webs to try to create real words. Reading both real and nonsense words will enhance automaticity with CVC words. A detailed lesson plan, activity materials, and printables included!
