These centers are perfect for a Cross-Curricular unit or author study! Look below for the fun:
Measuring with Caterpillars– Working on nonstandard measurement? Have students use their caterpillar ruler for measuring all the caterpillar goodies!
Addition Scavenger Hunt– Print, laminate, and hang around your classroom. The students travel the room to find the pictures and then write the math sentence to match the picture. The recording sheet has an example that will help the students know what to do.
Counting on Caterpillars (Differentiated!!)- You can hang this like the scavenger hunt or have the cards in the center for the students to pull from. Pull a card, write the number on the recording sheet, and write the next two numbers. The purple cards are to test 15-30 and the blue show 30-100.
Roll and Cover– Just print and laminate! This is a great game for partners to play. Roll two dice and add the numbers (or dots) together. Cover up the answer with a caterpillar or other game piece. The kids love to have their caterpillars “eat” the fruit!
