Your students will LOVE re-telling the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with their very own copy of this interactive book! You get one full-color version (for the teacher) and one black & white version to reproduce for students by stapling the pages along the left side. A link is included with directions on how to create cute caterpillar sock puppets so your students can pass their caterpillar sock puppet through the holes on seven of the pages. A simple butterfly template is also included for your students to paint and hide inside their sock puppet. At the end of the interactive re-telling book, students should remove the painted caterpillar from their sock puppet for everyone to see. This interactive book also comes with a model of the life cycle of the butterfly for your students to complete. So colorful and so much fun! Build oral language skills, reinforce elements of print, and use this as a springboard to writing!
