As I continue in my first year teaching Science, I am creating lots of new science-related resources. This is aligned with 5th grade Florida Standards, but can be used for any grade learning about the water cycle.
This PowerPoint goes over the water cycle, and also touches on the role Earth's oceans have in the water cycle. It is broken down into two lessons, and can be taught as two lessons, or one longer lesson if your time permits.
There are lots of visuals, review questions, and two video links to engage your students' attention throughout this awesome lesson!
Aligns with 5th grade Science Florida Standards:
SC.5.E.7.1 Create a model to explain the parts of the water cycle. Water can be a gas, a liquid, or a solid and can go back and forth from one state to another.
SC.5.E.7.2 Recognize that the ocean is an integral part of the water cycle and is connected to all of Earth’s water reservoirs via evaporation and precipitation.
