This is a Science Reader's Theater/Play designed for an introduction to, or a review of, the water cycle. It includes speaking parts for 10 students and works well if you have 2 to 3 groups doing the same play. I have always assigned parts for students to memorize. Memorization seems more effective for comprehension.
My experience has shown that children enjoy performing for other classes. Once the entire play is ready to present, I ask other teachers (any grade level) if they would be willing to let a group give a performance/lesson to their class.
Included with the script are 6 picture props to use in lesson presentation.
