A Student Exploratory Activity. This lab was written by me and used in my school by my upper elementary teachers to teach the phases changes of water with no reported problems. This lab focusses on the change from solid to liquid. It is the first of 3 labs which demonstrate how water changes from solid to liquid to gas and back and the water cycle. It is written in the scientific method format with problem statement, hypothesis, control, constant, and variables to familiarize students with all aspects of the scientific process. It includes analyzing question at the end of the lab. The lab contains teacher directions and background along with an answer key. There are a total of 4 pages, 2 teacher pages and 2 student pages. It includes cooperative learning and differentiated instruction.
