The Women’s Right to vote movement in the United States began slowly. What began as a few women voicing their opinions for women’s right to vote, grew into various movements across the country.
These movements gained speed and women joined organizations to give themselves political clout. The movements gained national attention when the first women's rights convention is held in Seneca Falls, NY in 1848. The Declaration of Sentiments, adopted there would set the tone for future women’s rights movements.
This presentation summarizes the various events that took place as women gained the right to vote.
