This is a print & go activity handout that your students can complete while they listen to 2 podcasts (free & available on the web) and watch a video clip from CPAC that is available on YouTube. The episodes all deal with the conditions that led to the rise of the Women's Movement in Canada and will introduce Nellie McClung and the Famous Five.
The link to all clips and entries are included on the worksheet. Students can watch and listen independently and complete the worksheet to further their understanding of the women's movement in Canada.
An answer key has been provided for this activty!
This was created for grade 10 Canadian History (CHC2D) using the Ontario Curriculum, but it is appropriate for any grades 8-11 class that is learning about Nellie McClung, the Famous Five and the Women's Suffrage Movement in Canada.
