Product Description

Create your own writing process bulletin board! This resource includes: 17 writing process cards, arrows, and letters to create your own writing banner. Read below to see how I use it in my classroom. You can also edit any cards by clicking on the editable file and type away. If you don't want to edit, there's also a PDF file that you can just print and you're set!

How to use:

Choose, edit and print the pages that you want to print. (Print on cardstock for EXTRA durability). Cut & laminate all the cards. Time for the fun part! You can either staple and create your own bulletin board or to make it interactive you can use magnet tape on the back of each card and move it around as needed.

-ARROWS: Use the arrows to show the order of your writing process.

-CIRCLE NUMBERS 1-36: Use the numbers to number your writing process steps and/or you can create magnets for each number(representing each student) to identify which part of the writing process they’re currently at.

-BANNER: Create your own banner to add a title to your bulletin board. You can spell out: Write, Writing or The Writing Process.

I use this board in my classroom to demonstrate strategies and lessons that I teach during writing workshop. I place strategies taught under the corresponding stage of the writing process. I also like to display writing that we write together as a class (anchor chart) and then I label it with components of the certain genre we’re studying.
