This step by step, color coded, differentiated, narrative writing resource can be used at a writing center or for whole group instruction. It is aligned with the narrative common core standards for grades first through fifth and follows my Writing R.A.T.S. method.
After modeling and completing a whole class writing project using this center's step by step instructions, your students will then be ready to use this product at your writing center. You will need to evaluate each individual student's writing level and assign him/her a starting level color. Students' levels can be adjusted at any time. *Please note first and second grade students may need assistance in completing these activities.

This product does require initial set up materials, but once set up, the center can be used year after year with little maintenance.
