This download includes 29 slides over the Feminine Ideal and Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper.
In the first section of the lesson, you will review the four pillars of the feminine ideal and how it applies to Gilman's text.
Then the students will learn about symbolism, themes, characterization, and irony within the text. Many of the slides contain class discussion questions, and an assignment is provided at the end of the lesson.
My students loved the information and the graphics provided. This is a very in depth lesson over Gilman's story. The discussion questions provided great feedback from the students!
