This product is a ready to print and use set of chapter comprehension questions and answer key. There are 1 to 4 questions per chapter that include a range of literal and inferential questions. Students respond to the questions in complete sentences.
These questions can be used for literacy groups, silent reading, or guided reading groups. I have found that these comprehension questions have increased student test scores in comprehension immensely!

Synopsis of The Young Man and the Sea: Skiff has lost his mother, and now it seems that he's losing his father, who sits at home all day. Skiff wants things to change, so he tries to rebuild his boat, the "Mary Rose." When he finds out that a new boat engine will cost him thousands of dollars, he needs a way to make money. Will he impress his father in the process?
