Students need to know how to CLASSIFY physical properties, create tables of information, read tables of information, and make decisions based on physical properties. This activity gives students the opportunity to practice these skills WITH A PARTNER. They will LOVE it!
Your students will LOVE creating this simple chart that classifies matter based on physical properties. Having their hands on the materials will make knowing physical properties more meaningful. Creating a chart for their partner is much more engaging that a simple worksheet. And solving a mystery (they will be handed a table of information and be asked to identify the objects!)
