Welcome to the /r/ farm! All inhabitants have the /r/ sound in their name. This farm features the following animals: rabbit, rooster, raccoon, raven, rat, squirrel, turtle, butterfly, horse, and spider.
Have students look for and identify the animals on the farm. Challenge them to figure out what they have in common! Next have them practice each animals name using the appropriate /r/ sound. This could also be used to elicit phrases and sentences as well to move toward using /r/ correctly in connected speech.
If you have a group of children this could also be efficient to practice language skills such as describing, producing a narrative, sentence expansion, etc.
All you have to do is print and laminate! I hope you find this useful.
