This is an interactive note-taking activity to help your students learn all about the verb estar.
It starts by explaining how estar is an irregular verb, then they copy down the forms. Next they are asked to think about what makes estar different from regular verbs.
It then tiptoes into the difference between estar and ser, and teaches them a little mnemonic device.
Next they have to provide a subject pronoun that could go along with each of the forms. Then they are asked to recall some song lyrics about common prepositions in Spanish. The lyrics are included on page 3 so you can teach the song! This allows you to teach estar and the prepositions side-by-side so they can see how the verb is used.
On the back there is a labeling activity and a drawing activity for the more creative kids in class.
