This is a unit for students to learn about the structure of scripts and writing for both stage and film. This file includes:

- Vocabulary definition power points
- Graphic organizers for students to copy vocabulary terms
- 2 versions of a written test covering these vocabulary terms
- Stage of Plot Structure worksheet (discusses preliminary situation, initial incident, rising action, climax, falling action, and conclusion)
- a worksheet review the structure of a play using "Cinderella" as an example (discusses exposition, initial incident, rising action, climax, denouement conclusion, and theme)
- a blank structure worksheet for students to fill out over a television episode or movie of their or your choosing
= samples of both stage scripts and film script styles (these are my own scripts so you don't have to worry about any copyright infringements)
- stage script writing dos and don'ts
- a projects for students to do which requires them to write a skit and include the essential structural elements
- a "performance" test for this unit in which students have to write and recite the story of their lives
