Description
Using theme, this art project challenges students to create a piece of artwork that symbolizes a theme present in their reading. Students must also choose a quote that is tied to this theme and is the driving force behind their art. Students must present their creation to the class and participate in a Socratic-type discussion in which the other students may comment, ask questions, and give observations about their artwork.
The artwork is 65% of the grade, the presentation is 35%.
This would be a great assessment or culminating activity. There is a detailed rubric included.
