The activities include a story that engages students with autism and developmental delays right from the start. A little girl tells your students that she has made them a Valentine card and they need to find it. Your students look under the table, on the chair and many other places. Activities increase their use/understanding of core words (i.e. in, on, under, yes, no) and gives practice in answering yes/no and simple "where" questions. A hands-on activity with Valentine vocabulary pictures, direction cards and a yes/no visual aid in following directions, comprehension of core words and thematic vocabulary.
