Students love learning about theme, and they’ll find it in every book or novel your class reads the moment you mention it! You can make it even more meaningful by creating a Theme Board in your classroom. You can continue to track the theme of every book you read aloud in class. There are several ways to use the Theme Board Kit, and I hope you find it more than useful!
How it Works:
-Choose one of the three board styles to use in your classroom, and track the theme of each book read aloud in class. I like to put photos of book covers or photos of students holding the book under the theme we choose as a class for it.
-Students track each theme in their notebook using one of the three Student Theme Tracker Notebook Sheets.
-color and black & white options for each style
-3 board styles with a theme anchor chart and 12 theme headers (themes: honesty, loyalty, friendship, perseverance, courage, kindness, acceptance, responsibility, respect, love, teamwork, and compassion)
-3 Student Theme Tracker Notebook Sheets
-Teacher guide for use
