Theme: Money and Banking - Speaking Activity on Credit Cards for LINC/ESL: CLB 6
Topic: Debit Cards, Credit Cards and Cheques & Banking
A Speaking Activity on Credit Cards - Class Level : CLB 6
Learners speak in pairs on the topic of Credit Cards.
Learners explore new vocabulary words on the topic of Credit Cards.
CLB 6 learners read the questions about Credit Cards and learn vocabulary surrounding the topic of Credit Cards while improving their speaking skills.
One learner takes on the role of Student A.
Student A asks Student B the questions.
The other learner takes on the role of Student B.
Student B answers the questions Student A asks.
Mid-way through the activity, there is the option for partners to switch roles.
I would highly recommend this so that each learner gets the experience of both asking and answering questions.
Switching roles also increases the comfort learners have with the vocabulary.
Learners learn vocabulary words such as:
*credit card / credit cards
*explain / explanation
*example / examples
*debit credit card / debit credit cards
I designed this speaking activity according to the theme : Money and Banking.
The activity builds the skills needed to recognize key words that pertain to Credit Cards, read sentences with Credit Card vocabulary words and speak about Credit and Credit Cards with the use of vocabulary words that pertain to Credit Cards. - Class Level : CLB 6.
