Have your students develop their own color wheel using shapes that illustrate a unified theme. This is a great activity for introducing color theory, learning about Isaac Newton, and introducing painting techniques. This project addresses tempera paint or can be adapted to the medium of your choice. I provide my students with the primary colors and they mix the rest.
