This is a great extension activity for students who are reading John Grisham's Theodore Boone. Students are asked to write a friendly letter to an out-of-state friend as if they are Theodore Boone. They'll discuss their thoughts and feelings regarding the events in the story, and ask their out-of-state friend for advice. Students will follow the friendly letter format.
