Speech therapy game for working on vocalic and pre-vocalic R and R-Blends. I get lots of children in speech therapy who work on the R sound, and this is one of their favorite games to play in speech! There are 270 target words.
To play: Use a plastic popcorn container (can be found in many dollar stores) and throw in all the target word popcorn as well as a few POP! pieces. Students take turns drawing pieces of popcorn from the container and practicing their target word at the level they’re working. Whenever a student draws a POP! piece, he or she must put all of their popcorn back in the popcorn container. Whoever has the most popcorn at the end of the game or session wins!!
Stay tuned for more speech therapy games and activities that will make your students want to stay in your speech room all day! :)
