PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Do you need a flexible and instant Math Center to help early learners practice and/or review Number Sense and Subitizing? You've come to the right place! 'There Are Many Ways to Show a Number: Subitizing and Developing Number Sense' is just the product you've been looking for! All you need to do is print, cut out, and shuffle your cards...and you're ready to go!

This 48-page product is packed with fun...and is bursting with full-color graphics and illustrations, each of which is one of my originals! Here's what comes with your download:

-12 different Number Sort Cards for each of the numbers from 1 to 10. (Each card shows a unique representation of the number--ten frame, tally mark, number in font #1, goldfish in a bowl, hand(s) showing number, gumballs in machine, number in font #2, domino, dice, cookies on a plate, spots on a ladybug, number word). 120 cards total.

-10 Diagonal Number Pages, color-coded to your Number Mats (This feature allows students to self-check in an instant when you print them on the back of your Number Sort Cards. You can also opt NOT to print them, if that better meets your needs!)

-A half-page Number Mat (one for each of the numbers from 1 to 10) on which to sort your cards. These mats can also be placed in a pocket chart or taped to a wall--whatever you need!

Differentiation is a breeze--just limit the number of cards you give to students...or select those that reflect a target skill for a specific child.

Want to extend the use of your 'There Are Many Ways to Show a Number' cards? Try putting like-cards together and have students put them in numerical order. If you skip printing the Diagonal Number Pages on the back of the cards, you can try this version: How about shuffling cards and dealing them among two players. Both players turn over one card at a time? The player with the GREATEST (or LEAST--you decide) number keeps the cards! You could also make a giant memory game with all of the cards...two cards that represent the same number are a match!
