You will need to purchase the book separately.

This 50 page activity pack is perfect for speech or language therapy. The activities included are perfect for speech and language intervention, literacy circles and whole group activities.

What is included:
Retelling: Cut out the old lady’s head.(page 3.) Cut out her mouth and attach it to an empty tissue box. Use the props on page 4 to feed the lady pieces of the story.

Ordinal Numbers: Print and cut the included cards. Have students find matches. Place the cards in sequential order. (Color and BW)
Comprehension questions & retelling mat: Print, cut, and laminate. Place Velcro in each square (page 9). Cut up comprehension cards (pages 10-12) and attach to page 9. (Use either the two , three answer choices or just questions.) As students answer questions correctly they remove the card to reveal parts of the picture. Once all the cards have been removed students will use the retelling mat to retell the story.

Yes/No questions: (page 13) and yes/no cards (page 14)

Matching: Print and give each student a copy of page 14. Have students draw a line from what she ate to the reason she ate it.

Haunted Bingo: (pages 16-18+ calling cards) These boards can be used for identifying vocabulary from the story, describing, identification by attributes, etc.

Rhyme: Cut out the cards (pages 20-21) and match rhyming words from the story.

Verb Tense: Cut out each verb card (pages 23-25). Use the mat (page 22) to sort the cards into past, present and future tense. Have students formulate sentences with one or all verb tenses.

What sound do I start with? (page 26-27) Students draw a card and put their finger on the sound that the word starts with.

Counting Syllables: (pages 28-29) Students will say the word on the card and determine how many syllables the word has.

Mini Book: (Pages 30-32) Cut out the book and staple together. Cut out the pictures (page 30). Have students glue the pictures into their book to retell the story.

Temporal Concepts: (Page 40) Cut off the top portion of the paper and give it to your student. Using the bottom potion call out the directions and have your students follow the directions.

Describe: (Pages 41-43) Give each student a worksheet. Using a pencil and paperclip create a spinner to use on the spider at the top of the page. Have your students spin to determine what they will write first on the line to describe the pictured objects.

Compare & Contrast: (Pages 44-45) Give each student a worksheet. Have your students compare and contrast the pictured objects.

Roll & Color: Give each student a copy of page 46. Roll the die on page 47, then color that object on your paper. The first person to color in all of the objects is the winner.
