This PDF file goes with the book "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat" by Lucille Colandro. This is obviously a play on the book "I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly".
In this Halloween-time book, the old lady swallows items that deal with the holiday. She swallows a cat, a bat, an owl, some bones, a goblin, a ghost, and lastly, a wizard. At the end, she burps out "trick or treat."
Included in this file are:
-an old lady with an enlarged mouth so your students can put the Halloween items that she swallows in it to simulate her eating them
-a cat, a bat, an owl, some bones, a goblin, a ghost, and a wizard
-two worksheets: one where students sequence the book by cutting and gluing, as well as a writing piece where students draw and write what they would've swallowed next if they were the old lady.
