Product Description
The old lady is ready for Easter and she swallowed some crazy thing again!

This packet is a companion to the book. You will need to purchase the book separately.

This 40 page activity pack is perfect for speech or language. The activities included are perfect for speech and language intervention, literacy circles and whole group activities.

Retelling: Cut out the old lady’s head (page 3.) Cut out her mouth and attach it to an empty tissue box. Use the props on page 4 to feed the lady pieces of the story.

Ordinal Numbers: Print and cut the included cards. Have students find matches place the cards in sequential order. (Color and BW)

Comprehension questions & retelling mat: Place velcro in each square (page 9). Cut up comprehension cards (page 10 & 11) and attach to page 9. Use either the two or three answer choices. As students answer questions correctly, they remove the card to reveal parts of the picture. Once all the cards have been removed students will use the retelling mat to retell the story.

Yes/No questions: (page 12)

Matching: Print and give each student a copy of page 13. Students are to draw a line from what she ate to the reason she ate it.

Spring Bingo: (page 14-16) These boards can be used for identifying vocabulary from the story, describing, identification by attributes, etc.

Following temporal directions: (page 17-18) Students will draw a card and follow the directions give.n.

Rhyme: Cut out the cards (page 17-21) and match rhyming words from the story.

We’re Going On An Egg Hunt: (page 22-24) Cut out the cards (page 23-24) and place them or have students place them where it says on the card (you could also use a plastic egg instead.) Then have students draw one of the cards from page 22 and find the hidden eggs.

Noun/Verb Sort: Cut out all cards (pages 25-26). Use the mat (page 27) to sort the cards into noun or verbs. After students have completed that they will then draw a card from each basket and make a sentence with both words.

Mini Book: (Page 28-30) Cut out the book and staple together. Cut out the pictures (page 30). Have students glue the pictures into their book to retell the story.

Roll & Color: Roll the die on page 37, then color that object on your paper. The first person to color in all of the objects is the winner.
