PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

My student's can't get enough of The Old Lady books. Here is a brand new book just in time or Spring.

This packet is a companion to the book. You will need to purchase the book separately.

This 40 page activity pack is perfect for speech or language. The activities included are perfect for speech and language intervention, literacy circles and whole group activities.

Retelling: Cut out the old lady’s head.(page 3.) Cut out her mouth and attach it to an empty tissue box. Use the props on page 4 to feed the lady pieces of the story.

Ordinal Numbers: Print and cut the included cards. Have students find matches place the cards in sequential order. (Color and BW)
Comprehension questions & retelling mat: Place velcro in each square (page 9). Cut up comprehension cards (page 10 & 11) and attach to page 9. (use either the two answer choices or three.) As students answer questions correctly they remove the card to reveal parts of the picture. Once all the cards have been removed students will use the retelling mat to retell the story.

Yes/No questions: (page 12)

Matching: Print and give each student a copy of page 13. Students are to draw a line from what she ate to the reason she ate it.

Spring Bingo: (page 14-16) These boards can be used for identifying vocabulary from the story, describing, identification by attributes, etc.

Rhyme: Cut out the cards (page 17-19) and match rhyming words from the story.

Verb Tense: Cut out each verb card (pages 21-23). Use the mat (page 20) to sort the cards into past, present and future tense. Have students formulate sentences with one or all verb tenses.

What letter do I start with? (page 24-25) Students draw a card and put their finger on the sound that the word starts with.

Mini Book: (Page 26-28) Cut out the book and staple together. Cut out the pictures (page 28). Have students glue the pictures into their book to retell the story.

Rainy Day Frog: Students will roll a die and follow the directions to help frog get ready to play in the rain.

Roll & Color: Roll the die on page 29, then color that object on your paper. The first person to color in all of the objects is the winner.
