This fun and engaging game can be played to target any skills after reading the story "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat" by Lucille Colandro (original story not included).
Feed the Old Lady, get the wand, and cast a spell to win the game!
Set up: Print and laminate all Old Lady mats.
Print, laminate, and cut apart picture cards.
You will need 2 die for this game.
Directions: Give each student an Old Lady mat. Students take turns rolling the die and collecting the corresponding item to fill the old lady’s belly (bat, owl, cat, ghost, goblin, bones, wizard, plus a wand!) Students cannot collect the wand until they have collected the wizard. There is only 1 wand picture included so students want to get this card when the option is available. If a student rolls a double, they may steal ANY piece from another player to use on THEIR board (or take the corresponding number piece).
