Your students will have fun retelling the story “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey!” (by Lucille Colandro) with our cute little old lady and Thanksgiving-themed pictures to put in her belly! Several writing response journals have been included for students to reflect upon or extend the story in addition to fall-themed math materials that focus on comparing sets and numbers 0 through 10! All of these activities would be great additions to your classroom!

This pack helps address the following Common Core standards:
Reading: RL.K.2, RL.K.3, RL.1.2, RL.1.3
Writing: W.K.1, W.K.3, W.1.1, W.1.3
Math: K.CC.4, K.CC.5, K.CC.6, K.CC.7

Our students absolutely love feeding their old lady these Thanksgiving items and dramatizing this story when sequencing the events and retelling the book from memory and then completing the math activities to go right along with the literature of the day!
