The students are sure to love this Reader's Theater based on the book There Was an Old Mummy Who Swallowed a Spider by Jennifer Ward.
There are roles for four students. The word "ALL" is included so that students have to pay attention at all times in order to read certain parts in unison.
Headbands/necklaces are also included. Copy onto cardstock. Then hole-punch and lace with yarn to make a necklace, or staple onto a long strip of construction paper to make a headband.
Reader's Theaters promote a love of reading as well as giving much needed practice in reading and speaking fluency.
Have fun, and feel free to change the script in any way that best suits the needs of your class.
