Hang these up during your Thanksgiving, Fall, or Old Lady unit. There are two corresponding writing sheets so that students can practice writing these words as well. Use this in any way you want! Copy front back so that students don't have to juggle multiple papers. Print out posters on card-stock and laminate them to help preserve the quality. After using the writing activity, leave the posters up to decorate!
6) Vocabulary Builder Activities (2 Activities)
Students will LOVE practicing vocabulary from the book There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed some Leaves with these adorable activities!
Practices the words:
leaf, lady, pumpkin, shirt, pants, rope, pole, scarecrow, hay
The first activity is a set of black and white cut and paste sheets. Students use the dotted lines to cut out the vocab word, and then paste it back into the squares under the picture.
The second activity is a set of vocab building cards in color. You can cut and laminate the letters for each card so that students can place them in the correct squares to build the corresponding vocabulary word.
*Use with my There was an Old Lady who Swallowed some Leaves Posters so that students are able to see the words on the pictures to use as a reference.
