Here are the sequencing pictures we use in my ESL kindergarten class. This helps them stay focused and on task while I am reading a book.
large cards for the class
large words for the class
sequencing page and small cards so you can copy for the whole class
*Print the pictures and words on cardstock and laminate.
*Pass them out before reading and the students will be able to raise the picture and words while reading.
*Some students may get a word and picture. (Don't pass out in order.)
*You could also see if they can match their word to the person with the picture.
*Put velcro on the back and use them with a felt board.
Possibilities are endless with this activity!
You can print and make copies. It can be used as an assessment to see if they follow the sequence of the story.
After reading the story, the students can glue the pictures on a sentence strip and they can use them to retell the story.
Also you can print on cardstock, laminate, and put in a Ziplock bag with a copy of the book, instant station. Work smarter not harder! Use over and over.
Please leave feedback for your credits and let me know if you like my ideas.
