Product Description
There was an old lady who swallowed a fly, I don’t know why she swallowed the fly, perhaps she’ll die.

This activity is set to go with (i believe to be) the original “old lady” story, with the fly, spider, bird, cat, dog, cow and horse - "She died of cause”.

This activity can be done, as a whole group, small group or individually.

For whole and small groups, the story is introduced, a group discussion what what animals comes 1st, 2nd 3rd etc, and then individual or supported work. Children are able to refer to the book to check their work, or ask their peers for help.

For individual work, you could cut along the dotted line, cut out the animals and laminate them. laminate the sequence page too. then add velcro to the sequence squares and the back of the animals so that the children are able to reuse this sequence activity. I hope that makes sense.

Thirdly, use your imagination and use it how it would suit your class best :) maybe on blow it up to an A1 size and do it all together during mat time.

Happy sequencing
