Print, laminate, trim, and assemble these manipulative thermometers for student practice. They are large enough that you can use them with the whole class--just dictate a temperature, give the students a few seconds to set it, and then have them hold up their responses for you to assess. They may be used to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, students may practice with them using partners, or they can rehearse alone. Set them out at a math or science center for children to use during free time. There are many things you can do with these manipulative thermometers. Directions are included so that you may have classroom volunteers make them for you.
