Description

A thermoscope is a device that allows one to see changes in temperature. A thermometer allows one to measure temperature. Two thermoscopes are demonstrated here, and temperatures scales are discussed (Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin), including an explanation for why the increments are called "degrees".

This resource is how I kept the demo going through remote teaching/distance learning (RT;DL).

The long, narrow "air bulb thermometer" Florence flasks used here seem difficult to find anymore. How I managed to keep mine going for so many years without breaking them is a mystery of the universe.
