Divide the class into 7 groups. Create 10 stations, each with one of the numbered worksheets. Each group is assigned a team letter where they will write their thesis statement. The team writes a strong thesis statement based upon the weak thesis statement at the top of the page. They will begin at the numbered station you assign them to and then move up one number at each timed break. The team at station 10 will go to station 1 and so on, until each team has completed each station. The teacher will then pick a winner on each page. The teacher reads the winning statement to the class, and then the class explains the characteristics that lead to it to be chosen.
