Things Fall Apart is rich with culture, history, literary devices and thematic overtones. This assignment asks students to create a thematic presentation from one of the nine prompts. These prompts require higher order thinking and research on a literary critic; therefore, it is best completely as a summative assessment. It focuses on building a robust thesis, integrating textual evidence and finding a reputable source of literary criticism, This project worked well in pairs for honors and groups of three or four for college-prep students.
