Description

This product is part of a complete Things Fall Apart unit.

This exhaustive 64-page study of 318 English words includes 25 exercises—one for each chapter of Things Fall Apart—and the corresponding answer keys. Included as well are four anticipation guides and four assessments.

Exercises include a variety of strategies, including The Frayer Model, analogy creation, context clue work, vocabulary knowledge spectrums, word sorts, and writing.

Differentiation is built in to this product. Assignments can be truncated for strong readers, and the instructions for each exercise allow for adaptations for weak readers and ESL students. In many instances, students are given choice, a key ingredient in effective vocabulary instruction.
