The attached file is a list of 10 "Think Like a Scientist Traits." I use them to create a bulletin board in my room. As a part of my year beginning get to know you activities (look for them in my store!), I center them around these 10 traits so that kids can understand how scientists work while they have fun! At the end of each activity, they are asked to reflect on how they "thought like a scientist" today using these 10 traits. I have a student sheet for their notebook/binder and the get to know you activities centered around these skills for purchase in my store. For the remainder of the year, I have an easy and thought/discussion provoking reflection I can use: "How have you thought like a scientist today in class? Pick two of our traits and explain how you have used them today."
