This homework helps students think like a scientist. Discoveries are made when people are curious enough to ask questions and to search for answers. Students locate an object out of doors, a leaf, a stone, a feather, a seashell and they will write 10 questions they might ask that object if it could talk. Later in the classroom they share their questions as they share their object. I might ask a bright red maple leaf if it hurts when it falls off the tree, or why did it turn red and not yellow?
