Think Math games for most of the lessons in the third grade edition. Wondering what to do with early finishers? Want to help your students be better problem solvers come testing time? 77 of the lessons have games that I typed up with detailed step by step instructions that are kid friendly. These games/activities are meant to be done individually, in partners, or in groups. The games have examples typed up to help answer questions the students might have and to help them be more independent.
I created these games to use in a math workshop or math center type of setting. I have also printed off the games by chapter and stapled them together. This gives students who finish early with a task a math related activity to work on to extend the lesson.
All games are based on the lesson noted at the bottom of the page. These games can fit into common core by matching the lesson topic to the standard. These games can be considered problem solving activities. Although made for the third grade unit, these games can be used as a challenge for second graders or as remedial activities for lower fourth graders.
