Think-Tac-Toe is a project that has students apply, create, synthesize their knowledge over food chains, abiotic and biotic factors, the movement of energy in the pyramid, characteristics of a kingdom such and autotrophic heterotrophic, multi-cellular or unicellular, eukaryotic or prokaryotic. This assignments give student choices on how they will show you mastery of their knowledge. The project lets students create a WIN like in tic tac toe of what 3 boxes they would like to do. Students must do the CENTER square and then make their WIN from that. You can also have students do more by making them do a T or an X to make a WIN in tic tac toe. This could be used as a in class assignment, tutoring, assigning one square each night for homework, warm up or wrap up for a blackout tic tac toe. You can really use these squares any way you would like. This is a fun way for teachers to evaluate their students learning other than a quiz or test.
