This is a group activity that requires nothing but dice and these question sheets. Students practice with the concepts of the metric system and scientific notation utilizing different levels of critical thinking: Explain, Describe, Compare, Create, Calculate.
This is meant for groups of 3-5 people, and allows for differentiation. There are 3 different sets of questions, for low-med-high levels of comfort with this topic. The question sets are labeled "purple", "yellow", and "green" but otherwise look the same, so students will not know which level group they are working with. A great way to differentiate without labeling students!
