Critical thinking is acknowledged to be an integral aspect of an education. But how to cultivate critical thinking? These activities ask students to think deeply about important social problems, and solutions, of the day. With no right answers, learners are free to explore the possibilities. Each issue comes with a scale for determining the degree to which a situation is just, a solution effective, or a description is a cause of a problem. After making their own ratings, learners compare and discuss with a partner.
