This ActivInspire flipchart directs the students to create quadrilaterals with specific areas and perimeters. The student has to meet both the criteria for area, and for perimeter. To help, a link to a multiplication grid is provided. If students don't know their multiplication facts, then they can quickly find a fact or facts which corresponds to the specified area. They then must meet the criteria for perimeter which is derived by adding the measure if each of the sides. They create the object by manipulating a square on the flipchart, and label each side of the perimeter and the area within.
