Thinking Stems Bookmarks (Common Core: 1.RL.1, 2.RL.1, 3.RL.1, 4.RL.1, 5.RL.1}

These bookmarks were created for children to use while reading to improve student comprehension by encouraging them to generate questions. The answers to thick questions are inferred. They require the reader to make predictions or to formulate new beliefs and ideas.

I specifically created them to be used when my students are reading books for their book clubs and reading partnerships. You can view that Common-Core aligned packet here:

The Thinking Stems Bookmarks Packet includes 4 printable pages of bookmarks. Two are in color and 2 are in ink-saving black and white. They include the titles, "Book Club Thinking Stems" and "Reader Thinking Stems."

It is aligned with the following Common Core Standards:

It would be best for grades 2-5, but is appropriate for 1st as well
