Students use these thinkmarks in my classroom to track their thinking during Readers' Workshop. Students begin by putting three sticky notes on their thinkmark, one in each square. While reading independently, students are encouraged to jot some thinking down onto the sticky notes. After we share at the end of Readers' Workshop, sticky notes can be transferred into a readers notebook. New sticky notes are put on the next day and the cycle repeats. I copy these on cardstock for durability and students store them in their reading book bins.
