I designed this product for teachers to use the first weeks of the new school year to expedite their lesson planning and answer the question, What do I do the first week of school?
This resource is intended to be used on the third day of third grade. The teacher copies the statement cards and uses them as a Scoot activity, task cards, or a worksheet. There are 40 statements cards, one is featured on the cover.
I have included two types of recording sheets for student responses. There is no answer key for the statements are opened ended or easy to assess.
Copy on colored paper or cardstock, laminate if desired, cut out, place cards around room or pass out, have students write the number they start with to stay organized.
This activity allows the students to move about the room and gives the teacher the opportunity to informally assess general knowledge in ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies in a fun way.
I have also included a prop for those who want to take pictures on the third day of third grade.
Be sure to check out Fourth Day of Fourth Grade or Fifth Day of Fifth Grade if you change grade levels are for a teacher friend in those grades.
